Delete your Bota account

You can delete your Bota account at any time from the app. Deleting it can’t be undone.

Can’t open the app? Email hello@botareview.et from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete it within 30 days.

Delete some of your data, and keep your account

You don’t have to delete your account to remove things:

• A review: Profile, then Your reviews, then Delete on the review.
• A saved place: tap the heart on the place to unsave it.
• Your profile photo or name: Profile, then Edit profile.
• Anything else (a reply, a photo, or all of your data): email hello@botareview.et and say what you’d like removed. We’ll do it within 30 days.

When you delete your account, what gets deleted

• Your sign-in and account.
• Your name, email address and profile photo.
• Your saved places and taste preferences.
• Your notification settings and device tokens.

What stays

Like in messaging apps such as Telegram, what you posted publicly stays but is no longer linked to you: your reviews, ratings, replies and photos remain on the places you reviewed and are shown as “Deleted User”, so places keep their ratings. If you’d like any of them removed too, delete them in the app before deleting your account, or email us.

Usage analytics and crash reports are kept for up to 90 days and are not linked to your name or email.
